How does B.Y.M® 1405 work?

Highly innovative patented B.Y.M.® technology

Antibiotics kill both bad and good bacteria, making you more prone to infections. The patented technology behind B.Y.M.® 1405 contains a live natural bacterium that naturally fights nasty bacteria.

What Scientists and Experts say

“As a dedicated women's health doctor, I am passionate about encouraging patients to recognise the importance of a healthy microbiome, not just in the gut but also in their more intimate areas. [...] Use of a probiotic cream, which helps to reduce the bad bacteria without harming the good ones, is surely a step in the right direction leading to less reliance on antibiotics whilst restoring a healthy balance.”

Dr Catriona Anderson, MBCHB, BSC (HONS), MRCGP, DFSRH, Women’s health, menopause and UTI specialist, Focus Medical Clinic

“I’ve been impressed to see this new UK-based microbiome start-up making such rapid progress. With Chiara Heide’s immense entrepreneurial talent and drive to find a microbiome science-based solution to UTIs, there is hope on the horizon for the many sufferers of this awful recurrent condition. Moreover, the technology has the potential to contribute to addressing one of the world’s most pressing challenges, namely Antimicrobial Resistance or AMR and I find that equally inspiring.”

Dr Andrew Morgan, Former Chief Scientist to DuPont Nutrition & Health, DuPont Fellow / Laureate (Retired) and Lavoisier Awardee, Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence, University of Exeter

“There is a pressing need for innovation in this space to develop patient centred therapies which are potentially more efficacious and safer than previous approaches, and will ultimately optimise women’s wellbeing and quality of life.”

Nick Panay, MD, BSC, MRCOG, MFSRH, Director of the West London Menopause & PMS Centre at Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals, President Elect, International Menopause Society, Director, International Centre for Hormone Health.

“This innovative product fills a large gap in the management of recurrent urinary tract infections. By promoting a healthy vaginal microbiome it may reduce our reliance on antibiotics and provides a safer approach for this debilitating condition”

Sachin Malde, MBBA MSc (Urol), FRCS (Urol), Urological Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital
